Quick Hits: My Summer Transfer Window Takes 2024 (Elaborated)

Before we Begin…            …I apologize for no blog post in a while. For those of you that know, life has been more chaotic than CONMEBOL’s handling of Copa America combined with MLS’ Referee decisions combined. With that said, my heart goes out to all who have been impacted by Hurricane Beryl. While I am not living in Houston currently, as a native Houstonian, I can remember some of the devastation that occurs when hurricanes/tropical storms hit the city. I hope all of you are safe and normalcy returns soon. With that said, let’s talk about (what is hopefully) a bright light at the end of the tunnel, the Summer Transfer window… Let the Dominoes Fall… ... We already know that the Dynamo have signed a DP 9 in Ezequiel Ponce and a rumored deal for a U-22 Winger in Lawrence Ennali . As of now, those are the only two moves the Dynamo have either introduced or have been linked to. Let’s analyze these for a second. To me, the Ponce move is huge. We have known for a while now that

The Good, Bad, and Ugly - A reflection on the Dynamo through Matchweek 15 (5/25/24 - 6/1/24)

Before we Begin…            …A slight change from the usual analytical breakdown. No defense of anyone. No criticism of anyone. Well, not in the same manner as the last post. I am going to discuss my opinions about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Dynamo at this point of the season. Short, sweet, and to the point. Again, this is just my opinion. Please feel free to discuss your good, bad, and ugly. I want to hear from the fans on here, and all the socials. Again, no defense, criticisms, or arguing from me. This is a “state of the fans” post and want to hear from the fans. I encourage everyone who reads and responds to criticize my take; however, I encourage everyone to allow others to respond without arguing. I want this to be a safe and open discussion for fans to give their take. With that said, let’s get to… The Good… …The Dynamo are in 7 th place with 16 matches played, a 0-goal differential, and a game in hand on three of the six teams ahead of us in the Western C

Matchweek 14: The Anger is Flowing (Rivalry Week Reflections 5/11/24 - 5/18/24)

Before we Begin…            …I want to take a moment to thank everyone who read and support the blog. I’ve had a rough few weeks and I had to take a break for my own mental health. I appreciate everyone who showed their support and reached out to check in on me. I appreciate it. With that out of the way, this post is going to be different. This time I am calling out everyone/defending everyone. Time to “let the hate flow through me” and get some frustrations out. If that’s not for you, don’t worry, I will return to normal next week. If this is more your style, then prepare for the callouts… The Front Office… …Let’s start with the criticisms. Ted Segal, Pat Onstad, and Asher Mendelsohn, I just got some questions I think many fans want to know as well. What was the plan for the season and how was there no contingency plan in place? I understand that injuries are unpredictable. However, that is not an excuse that will hold up much longer. We entered the season knowing Hector Herre
